Dozens of Celtic fans have flooded to Celtic Park to pay tribute to the club after being crowned Scottish Premiership champions - despite the current coronavirus regulations.

The club earlier warned their fans to stay at home instead of visiting the stadium with lockdown still in place.

Fans, however, flouted the advice and piled to Parkhead by their dozens to celebrate Hoops' ninth Scottish Premiership win in-a-row.

The SPFL crowned Celtic as winners earlier this afternoon as they opted to end the current season early due to the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement, Celtic Club said: "We want Celtic fans all over the world to celebrate in style, but, of course, safety is the number one priority for all, and for now this means celebrating in our homes.

"We all must stay safe and stay home. Please DO NOT come to Celtic Park."
