POLICE moved on sunbathers flouting lockdown rules to enjoy a seat in a park.
People were spotted enjoying the sunshine today in the Botanic Gardens, in spite of lockdown restrictions.
Police were spotted by the BBC's John Beattie who posted a picture of people in breach of the government's strict lockdown rules.
Police moving people on in the Botanics in Glasgow today. It’s a sunny day, but you can’t sit on the grass or a bench to soak in the sun......... more on #drivetime @BBCRadioScot @BBCScotlandNews 4pm pic.twitter.com/mjuwWoF8qy

The Scottish government's stringent lockdown rules allow people to leave the house for essential shopping, travelling to work and exercise but does not permit people to sunbathe or loiter in parks.
Anthony Carroll, a Greens SNP candidate for Glasgow was among those who responded saying: "Cutting about shops and streets close to folk: fine. Sitting still on a spot in a park on your todd: somehow not. [The] quicker this rule's gone the better. We don't all have gardens to lie down in on a nice day."
