A man is being treated in hospital with a serious back injury after an attack took place in Whiteinch.
At around 1.50pm yesterday afternoon, police responded to a report of a man being assaulted in Curle Street.
The 29-year-old man was rushed by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for his injury.
Police have confirmed enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information that could help, who has not already spoken to officers, is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1864 of Wednesday, 20 May.
