Officers have been rushed to a Maryhill Street amid a firearms incident.
At around 9.34pm yesterday evening, the force received a report of a firearm being discharged on Windsor Street.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times this morning: "I passed at 7.20am this morning, there was police guarding every close and loads of police vans and cars.
"Workers from the street were refused entry due to a major incident ongoing."
Police confirmed nobody has been injured.
They are now appealing to the public for CCTV and dashcam footage.
A spokesman said: "A report was received around 9.45pm on Thursday, 21 May of a firearm being discharged on Windsor Street in Glasgow.
"Nobody was injured and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
Anyone with information about the incident or footage from private CCTV or a dashcam from around the time of the incident can call 101, quoting incident 3948 of 21 May.
