More than £100,000 was raised in a week for the two daughters of a young mum from Milngavie battling motor neurone disease (MND)
Jennifer Bell, 29, was diagnosed with the disease two years ago and was given just a few months to live.
A fundraiser was set up to provide a nest egg for her two daughters, aged nine and one, after Jennifer announced her heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to her girls.
In an open letter, she announced last week that she would be entering her "final chapter" in the fight with the disease and was moving into the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow.
She continued: "I don't really have the words apart from I am broken leaving my little girls and family.
"Thank you to everyone who has been there for me. Thank you to my amazing friends who have consistently been there for me.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me, who raised money for my daughters and thank you to everyone who has helped, donated and raised awareness for motor neurone disease.
"I do believe we are closer to a cure... but not in my time."
In the devastating letter, Jennifer continued: "My families and friends hearts are breaking mine is shattered leaving my 2 little girls, but I know what I’ve left behind for them will show them how much I loved them and they’ll carry that in their hearts forever.
"MND is the cruellest disease and everyone has a different acceptance of what quality of life is for them. Mine has been taken from me."
A Facebook fundraiser started "to support Jennifer's family at the end of her battle with MND" has now raised £106,836 in seven days.
More than 7,000 people have donated, going well beyond the initial target of £2,000.
Having reached the huge figure, organisers of the fundraiser announced that proceeds beyond £100,000 will be donated directly to MND Scotland.
It reads: "In a million years we never imagined that we would get to £100K!
"It's such a life-changing about for the girls and Jen is overwhelmed and so thankful.
"Now we have reached this amazing figure, everything over £100K will go directly to MND Scotland to help fund research into this awful disease so that hopefully in the near future, no other family has to go through this."

Jennifer has in the past raised more than £27,000 for the charity.
In her open letter, she added: "Motor neurone disease is so underfunded and if I could ask anyone to pick a charity to give people diagnosed a chance, at least a glimmer of hope then please donate to MND Scotland."
Another fundraiser has been started on JustGiving for those who wish to continue donating directly to the 29-year-old's family.
If you wish to donate to MND Scotland, you can do so here or directly on MND Scotland's website.
