RESIDENTS have expressed their shock after a man's body was found in a South Side hotel.
Police were called to the Queen's Park Hotel at around 11.30am this morning where a 39-year-old man was found dead.
Officers said there are no suspicious circumstances but enquiries are ongoing.
Local residents reported seeing an ambulance at the Balvicar Street hotel with paramedics wearing protective clothing.
Police were also at the scene.
One neighbour said: "It came as a shock to us this morning.
"We saw the ambulance and knew something serious was wrong as the ambulance workers had yellow full body suits on and they were there for a while.
"To know that a young man has died is terrible."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.30am on Tuesday, May 26, officers were called to an address on Balvicar Drive, Glasgow.
"A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however the death is currently being treated as unexplained although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
The Glasgow Times has made attempts to contact the Queen's Park Hotel for comment.
