POLICE are at the scene of a serious road traffic accident to the east of Glasgow.
A section of Baillieston Roundabout has been closed while emergency services deal with the incident.
An eyewitness said a motorbike and a car looked to be both badly damaged.
Officers in attendance are speaking to other drivers who were at the major motorway juntion at the time of the collision.
Traffic is currently being diverted away from the scene.
Baillieston Roundabout interchange connects the A8, M74 and M74 routes.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 3.10pm on Saturday, May 30, emergency services were called to the M8 at the Baillieston Interchange following a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
"The road is currently closed.”
