A YOUNG driver is accused of crashing head on with another vehicle leaving a woman injured and his own car flipped onto its roof.
Mason Fox, 21, of Tollcross, is charged with dangerous driving on Tobago Street in the Calton area, close to Glasgow city centre last May.
Prosecutors claim Fox drove at “excessive speed” and performed a handbrake turn which left him on the middle of the road.
It is alleged the Dacia Logan car continued to drive at speed and collided with a Vauxhall Astra driven by Jeanette Findlay.
The charge states “the vehicle driven by you was flipped onto its roof, both vehicles were damaged and Jeanette Findlay was injured.”
Fox also faces a string of other charges which includes reset, driving while disqualified and without insurance.
A hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court was postponed yesterday due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The case was dealt with administratively and a new hearing date is set for July this year with Fox remaining on bail.
