A MAN who was hit by a train was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police have confirmed that a man in his 50s tragically died after he was hit by a train near Pointhouse Road between Partick station and Glasgow Central.

The incident occurred yesterday at 4.55pm.
Police say his family have been informed and that a full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesman said: "British Transport Police were called at 4.55pm on Wednesday, June 3 to an area of railway near Pointhouse Road, Glasgow, following a report of a casualty on the tracks.
"Sadly, a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. His family have been informed and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
