THE PLAYGROUND of a Thornliebank nursery has been trashed as toddlers were set to return yesterday morning.
Jimmy Dunnachie Family Learning Centre shared the disappointing news on their Twitter account after they woke to find the tots’ play area destroyed.
Images shared by the nursery show how mindless vandals tipped soil from a gardening pit across the colourful outdoor space.
Wooden pallets have also been tossed upside down and lie in heaps with children’s gardening equipment discarded amongst the mess.
A Tweet from Jimmy Dunnachie Family Learning Centre reads: “Angry, upset.
“All the hard work getting our outdoors ready for children to return to nursery this morning, to find the area trashed.”
Glasgow City Council’s director of education has condemned the attack as “shameful”.
