Work on additional cycle lanes will start on Tuesday linking Drumchapel and Knightswood.
The pop-up lanes will create additional space for physical distancing in an effort to limit the spread of Covid-19.
It comes as part of Glasgow City Council's Spaces for People plans, which has already seen temporary cycle lanes across the city.
The lanes will stretch along Great Western Road for 2 kilometres in each direction, between Duntreath Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Work should be completed by July 21.
A westbound lane has already been installed on the Broomielaw between Saltmarket and the Clyde Arc.
Additional plans to implement the lanes in the northeast of the city has also been announced along the Glasgow to Cumbernauld Cycle Route.
It is anticipated that this route will boost the uptake of active travel in the community for both leisure and commuting, linking the new railway station at Robroyston and the surrounding area to Provanmill Road.
