A MERCHANT City restaurant has announced it will shut permanently due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ingram Wynd, a popular spot in the city centre for ten years, said it had been forced to close because of the "impact this pandemic has had on small businesses".

A statement on the bar and restaurant's Facebook read: "After ten incredible and very successful years we have made the decision to close Ingram Wynd Restaurant.
"The landscape of our industry has changed greatly during these very difficult times and the impact this pandemic has had on small businesses has been substantial.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers for their support over the past decade and every member of staff who worked with us over the years. We thank you.
"Glasgow, look back on us fondly, with a dram in hand - thank you for the memories. And remember when one door closes, another one opens."
The company noted that the Ingram Street Terrace beer garden would remain open as a separate entity.
