POLICE have charged a man in connection with a dispute over a South Side cycle lane.
The Glasgow Times told last week how a cyclist was allegedly threatened by a driver after challenging him about a car parked on the South City Way.
Video footage from the scene appeared to show the motorist making verbal threats to the cyclist on Victoria Road in Govanhill.
A 43-year-old man has now been charged and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal about the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers have charged a 43-year-old man in connection with a verbal altercation which happened around 11.55am on Friday, July 10 on Victoria Road.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The South City Way route runs along Victoria Road and down to the Merchant City.
Local cycling groups have long complained about parking along the route, particularly through Govanhill at the busy Victoria Road shopping stretch.
The segregated cycle path is part of plans to expand Glasgow's cycling network to boost greener travel around the city.
