A CAR has crashed into a bank branch on a busy town high street.
The white Nissan Juke crashed into the Bank of Scotland branch on High Street in Johnstone at around 11am today.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police and fire services responded to the crash, which saw the car mount the pavement and crash into the High Street bank.
A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a road traffic collision on High Street, Johnstone, around 11.10am on Monday, July 20, 2020.
"A Nissan Juke collided with a building and the male driver has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a precaution."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
