THE fate of Christmas in Glasgow is still in doubt as Covid-19 continues to put paid to plans across the country.
The city usually hosts a selection of events throughout November and December, including the annual Christmas lights switch-on and festive markets.

Edinburgh City Council announced yesterday tickets for their world famous Hogmanay Party had been withdrawn due to the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic.
Organisers in Glasgow say they are currently developing options for what events in the city could look like if physical distancing measures are still in place.
A spokesperson for bosses Glasgow Life said: “Covid-19 looks likely to have some impact on what can be delivered as part of Glasgow Loves Christmas.
"It’s too early to say what that will be but we are developing options for Glasgow Loves Christmas and look forward to sharing them when finalised.”

A number of festive events have already been postponed across Scotland with Renfrewshire Council cancelling their whole festive calendar, including Christmas lights switch-ons and the ever-popular Paisley fireworks display.
Around 13,000 people attend the ticketed Glasgow Christmas lights switch-on with thousands more attending the Christmas markets set up in George Square during its four-week run.
