RANGERS are set to complete the signing of striker Tony Weston, according to reports.
The Athletic report that Steven Gerrard will add the Blackpool attacker to his squad within the next 24 hours.
Weston is expected to make the move to Ibrox for a fee of £250,000.
Leeds United and Southampton were also interested in the player, but having lived along the road from Gerrard as a youngster, it understood that the pull of Rangers was too much for Weston.
Meanwhile, the Ibrox club will decide whether they make a move for Bongani Zungu over the next two days.
Gerrard's team are weighing-up a long term deal for the midfielder after Amiens’ relegation from Ligue 1 in France.
It has been reported that Zungu turned down an offer to play in Spain in a bid to complete a deal with Rangers.
