A DRUMCHAPEL comedian has taken on the role of agony uncle for a new Youtube series featuring his celebrity pals.

Bash the Entertainer will offer relationship and general life advice to fans struggling with personal dilemmas.

The 26-year-old viral comic will host the series, dubbed Dr Bash, along with his famous friends, including well-known Love Island spectator and BBC Radio 1Exrra host David ‘Sideman’ Whitely.

The series, which airs on Youtube channel VUYZ, is inspired by tabloid talk shows of the 80s and 90s which showcased guests revealing their most personal problems.

Bash and his fellow social media stars hope to give clarity on all kinds of dramatic personal issues from feuds with friends and lovers, cheating spouses, housemate dramas, and even nightmare Zoom calls with colleagues.

Some of the problems presented to the funnyman include one woman who is concerned by her boyfriend’s 12 pet lizards as well as a man whose girlfriend discovered a ring his late grandmother had left him and assumed he was proposing.

Dr Bash’s consultants each bring their area of expertise to help him give their prognosis of the situations, with Sideman dubbing himself the “advice guy”.

Speaking in the first episode, he said: “They used to call me advice guy in school.

“The ladies didn’t want me, they just wanted my advice on other men.

“From then I just learned to articulate myself and really just help people out. I’m a helper.”

Bash, who has more than 2.6million followers across his social media accounts, warned the dilemmas his fans face become more and more wild as the series goes on.

He told the Glasgow Times: “I first did this on Snapchat and Instagram. I would put a phone number on my social media and my fans would get in touch with their crazy dilemmas.

"My friends help me try to be the therapist and the problems just get crazier by the week.

"People get back in touch saying 'thank you for what you have said, it was really helpful' because even though it's a laugh and a joke we try to give good advice."

He added: "At the end, I give good advice because we want to make sure people are good and at peace."

Bash, who studied at Drumchapel High School, has based much of his comedy on growing up in the area.

Since going viral on social media a few years ago, the star, who was born in the Republic of Congo, has gone from strength to strength being featured in the likes of LadBible and BBC Three.

The series will air at 5pm each Tuesday, with the first episode already available online.
