A GLASGOW City Centre nail salon has had to revamp what they do to ensure they can operate post lockdown.
Nova Nails is the latest firm to feature in our Glasgow Loves Local Business campaign.
The Glasgow Times is supporting local businesses who are struggling in the aftermath of the pandemic by giving them a chance to tell our readers why they should support them.
We are also running a supplement in the coming weeks which will feature business listings.

Nova Nails owner Jackie Logan said: “People should support our small business as we are new in the city and in need of some love.
“We also have worked really hard to make our little salon a safe and inclusive space.
“We want everyone to enjoy having their nails done in a relaxing space that cares about your health and safety during these times.”

Situated in Central Chambers Suite on Hope Street, the business opened three years ago offering acrylics, gel polish, and luxury spa pedicures - all with cruelty-free products.
Jackie said: “I am self-employed and it has been very tough during lockdown.
“We had to close completely and unfortunately fell through all gaps for any help with grants.”
Now they have used the time during lockdown to revamp their operation to ensure that they are meeting the health and safety standards required in a Covid-19 world.
Jackie, 31, said: "We had to make a lot of changes to keep our business alive.
"We started making custom made glue on nails, a merchandise line with branded t-shirts, gel polish at home, soak off kits, at home pedicure kits and stickers to raise money for Black Lives Matter."
She added: "We also moved into brand new premises and have a lot of PPE in place such as masks for technicians and customers, sanitising stations and protective screens.
"We also have a four-step sanitising station for all our equipment and tools."
