NEW opening dates for city gyms and sports facilities have been revealed.
Glasgow Life, which runs cultural and sporting activities for the city council, had to change some of the original schedule due to Scottish Government guidance.
The new dates will also be subject to decisions made at Holyrood.
A Glasgow Life spokeswoman said: "The phased reopening of venues and facilities has always been on the basis of adhering to the Scottish Government’s guidance and route-map timescale.

"We have now revised the reopening dates previously announced for some of our sports and arts facilities following the Government’s decision that outdoor contact sports for adults can resume from Monday, August 24 while gyms, swimming pools, indoor sports courts, stadia, theatres and arts venues must remain closed until at least Monday, September 14."
Outdoor pitches are scheduled to open at Glasgow Club Scotstoun, Glasgow Green Football Centre and Toryglen Regional Football Centre from Monday, August 24.
On August 31, the Riverside Museum and libraries at Easterhouse, Drumchapel and the Gorbals are set to reopen.
Tramway should reopen on Monday, September 14 alongside gym, fitness classes and indoor courts, but not the pools, at Glasgow Club Scotstoun and the National Badminton Academy, Glasgow Club Bellahouston and Glasgow Club Donald Dewar.
The gym, fitness classes and indoor courts at the Glasgow Clubs at Kelvin Hall and Castlemilk are set to open on Monday, September 21.
Swimming pools, as well as gyms, fitness classes and courts, are scheduled to open at Glasgow Club Gorbals and Tollcross International Swimming Centre on Monday, September 28.
By October 5, the Gallery of Modern Art should be able to open at reduced capacity.
Possilpark, Bridgeton and Royston libraries and gym and fitness classes, but not the pool, at Glasgow Clubs in Maryhill and Springburn are also planned to open on that date.
The gym and fitness classes at the Emirates Arena are set to be available from Monday, October 12. The spa will not open on that date.
Libraries at Ibrox, Pollokshaws and Shettleston reopened this week, and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is still set to open on Monday (August 17). Partick Library should open on August 24.
The spokeswoman said: "When our sports venues reopen, visitors will be required to wear a mask or face covering in all indoor areas except when participating in physical activities within our gyms and fitness studios.
"As it has been from the outset of this crisis, ensuring the safety of our staff and the public remains our priority."
Glasgow Life is facing the "toughest financial period in its history" due to the impact of lockdown.

"Since March, our income has been wiped out and we have already lost £12m,” the spokeswoman said.
"Such losses will continue to have a direct and profound impact on the services Glasgow Life delivers in the future.
"Against this financial backdrop we cannot currently plan to re-activate all of the 171 venues and facilities in our portfolio.”
"We know we’re not dealing with a short-term crisis and it won’t be a quick return to ‘normality’, rather the creation of a new normal for Glasgow Life.
"As such, the visitor experience within the venues we are reopening will be different for the foreseeable future."
