A CITY salon who feared they would fold during the coronavirus pandemic is the latest to feature in our Glasgow Loves Local Business Campaign.
Kroma Hair and Beauty has been running for nine years and recently moved to a salon in Great Western Road.
Co-owner Jody Ciplinkski, 43, revealed they spent their life savings on the move to the new premises - only for the UK to go into lockdown.
He explained: "We nearly lost everything after spending our life savings on the new premises.
"We opened for three days and had to close.
"We prepared to fold the business but luckily got the rates grant which helped pay rents to keep us afloat."
Offering everything from ladies and gents hairdressers to beauty treatments such as waxing and message, the salon is urging our readers to back local business coming out of the other side of lockdown.
Jody said: "We have been lucky to offer five people jobs which they would have lost due to their own salon folding.
"We had a dream of offering all the services the locals of all ages need in the one place."

Post lockdown, the salon said it has introduced several measures to ensure customers remain safe in a pandemic world.
They have reduced the number of people in the salon at any given time and they aim to encourage hand sanitizing as well as the checking of temperatures.
Jody said: "We are a very clean industry anyway.
"But we have had to up that now due to mask wearing and social distancing."

The Glasgow Times is supporting local businesses who are struggling in the aftermath of the pandemic by giving them a chance to tell our readers why they should support them.
We are also running a supplement in the coming weeks which will feature business listings.
