The Sighthill footbridge has been demolished ahead of a major renovation creating a new "gateway" to the area.
Demolition specialists removed the 80-tonne structure over the course of one night.
A new pedestrian and cyclist bridge will connect Sighthill and Glasgow city centre.
The M8 was forced to close for the duration of the 12-hour demolition on August 1 by BAM Nuttall Ltd.
Contractors described working under the time crunch in a video released by Glasgow City Council.

Kieran Powell of Glasgow City Council described the old bridge as "past its sell-by date".
BAM Nutall specialist, Graeme Macleod, said: "The biggest thing is we have closed the M8 for a full night.
"That's the biggest challenge. We've got a twelve-hour closure so its quite a short time span.
"Trying to get everything done in that short span is some task. "
The landmark development in the north of the city is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
