A man has sadly died after being hit by a train near Dalmuir yesterday evening.
Services to and from Dalmuir to Dumbarton Central were called off as emergency services attended the scene.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Kilpatrick station at 8.54pm on 14 September following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
