A SOUTH SIDE road has been closed due to a house fire.
Cathcart Road in Govanhill is closed to all traffic between Allison Street and Dixon Road while firefighters tackle the blaze.

A statement from the local authority said: "Cathcart Road is currently closed to all traffic between Allison Street and Dixon Road due to a house fire.
"Road users should avoid the area and further updates will be issued when more information becomes available."
The Glasgow Times understands that at least two people were rescued from a first floor flat by hero firefighters.
Glasgow city council has confirmed that the street has now reopened.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service: "We were alerted at 1.48pm on Thursday, September 24 to reports of a fire within a three-storey tenement building on Boyd Street, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene, and firefighters worked to extinguish a fire within a ground floor flat.
"Five people were given precautionary check-ups at the scene for smoke inhalation.
"Crews currently remain in attendance as they work to ensure the area is made safe."
