Police are investigating a murder bid after a man was stabbed last night in Barrhead.
Cops were called to Roebank Drive around 9.40pm on Friday after the man was injured in altercation.
The 34-year-old was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment and his condition is described as stable.
Investigations are at an early stage but the incident is being treated as attempted murder.
Detective Constable Emma Nicholson from Govan CID said: “Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and it is vital we speak to anyone who was in the area last night and saw what happened.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3898 of Friday, October 2, 2020. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given anonymously."
