FORMER CELTIC and Ireland striker Anthony Stokes is to stand trial accused of driving a car without an MOT.
Stokes, 32, was allegedly snared driving an Audi A4 near his home in Glasgow’s Finnieston area last December.

Prosecutors claim Stokes “used a motor vehicle in respect of which no test certificate had been issued.”
A trial was set for July this year but the case was adjourned until today.
Stokes, who was not present at Glasgow’s Justice of the Peace court, pleaded not guilty by letter to the charge.
A new trial date has been fixed for March next year and Stokes remains on bail meantime.
