A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car during rush hour in North Lanarkshire.
The youngster was involved in a crash on Gartleahill, in Airdrie, at around 5.30pm today.
The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children, in Glasgow, by ambulance but his condition is unknown at this time.

Officers have locked the road down as they probe the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a crash involving a car and a child on Gartleahill, Airdrie, around 5.30pm on Tuesday, 13 October, 2020.
"A 7-year-old boy has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children by ambulance.
"The road is currently closed whilst enquiries are carried out."
