A PERSON has died after being found in the shelter of a train station this morning.
Police have confirmed the individual was pronounced dead at the scene in Kilwinning at around 7am.
Officers are now working to identify the person but say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Train services were delayed in and out of Ayrshire and into Glasgow Central, via Renfrewshire, due to the incident.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Kilwinning station shortly after 7am this morning following reports of an unresponsive person.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly the person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family. The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
