A PUPIL has tested positive for Covid-19 at a South Side school.
Education bosses have confirmed one youngster at Rosshall Acadmey, in Crookston, has been sent home after catching the bug.
Contact tracing is now underway while Alison Mitchell, the school's headteacher, has promised measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of everyone.

She wrote in a letter to parents: "I am writing to let you know that Public Health Test and Protect team is carrying out Covid-19 contact tracing at Rosshall Academy as we have been informed this morning of one positive case in a pupil.
"Working closely with the school and local authority, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has carried out a careful risk assessment to establish a list of close contacts of the pupil within the school.
"All close contacts are being advised to self-isolate as a precaution and being given appropriate advice and support.

"The school will work with parents and carers to minimise the disruption to learning for those pupils who need to self-isolate.
"Robust control measures are in place at the school, and there is currently no evidence of transmission within the school itself."
