THE FIRST images have been released of Glasgow-born star Kelly Macdonald in her new role for hit series Line of Duty.
The actress, 44, will play Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, the senior investigating officer on an unsolved murder case whose unconventional conduct attracts the attention of AC-12.
She is best known for her roles in Trainspotting, Gosford Park, and Boardwalk Empire.

The sixth series of the crime drama wrapped filming yesterday in Northern Ireland and will air on BBC One in 2021.
