A GLASGOW minister is creating a giant art installation which he hopes will help Scots look forward to happier times.
People from across Scotland are invited to send a sprig of rosemary which Church of Scotland minister Rev Peter Gardner and his wife Heidi will incorporate into a 5ft 9in wreath. The piece will act as a symbol for a year of sadness and loss.
Rev Gardner is a minister to the visual arts community in the city in a pioneering new initiative from the Kirk.
Moderator for the General Assembly of the Kirk, the Rt Rev Dr Martin Fair said:“Peter and Heidi have come up with what I believe to be a wonderful idea – a way for us all to participate in a collective acknowledgment of the losses and sadness that we’ve experienced through this most difficult of years.
“My hope is that people from across the nation will join me in contributing a sprig of rosemary – younger people, older people and people from within and from beyond the Church.”
