RESIDENTS in East Dunbartonshire are being encouraged to have their say on a new river restoration project planned for the Glazert Water.
The online engagement event is not only to meet planning application requirements but also to provide an update on the project and offer people a further opportunity to feedback on the objectives and proposed restoration options.
The council is working in collaboration with SEPA on the project, which aims to physically restore the Glazert watercourse, enhance the water quality and revitalise the wildlife corridor serving the communities of north Kirkintilloch, Milton of Campsie, Lennoxtown, Clachan of Campsie and Haughhead.

It is also hoped it will provide flood risk benefits to the River Kelvin and reduce the likelihood of flooding to communities in Kirkintilloch and Torrance.
