CHARGES to park at Glasgow Airport will be hiked in a joint bid to recoup losses from the pandemic and to encourage the use of more sustainable transport.
The entry fee for pick-up and drop-off at the airport will rise to £4 for up to 10 minutes from Friday, December 4.
Drop-off and pick-up will, however, be free for drivers of electric cars.
The 30-minute free parking option will still be available to passengers in the long-stay car park.

Derek Provan, chief executive of AGS Airports Ltd, said: "The funds generated through these changes will go towards re-establishing Glasgow’s vital connectivity."
He added that the impact of the pandemic had been "devastating" for Glasgow Aiport and noted that passenger numbers were down by as much as 96%.
