A TEENAGER killed when she was knocked down by a car in the West End has been named.
Sophie Geddes, 16, passed away when she was struck by a grey Ford Focus on Great Western Road at around 7.45pm on Saturday.
Emergency crews battled to save the Knightswood schoolgirl but she died a short time later in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward or drivers with dashcam footage who were in the area at the time.
Sergeant Grant MacIver said, Road Policing Glasgow, said: “We are appealing to drivers or pedestrians who were in the area at the time of the crash to get in touch.

"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage as this could be very helpful to our investigation.
