A PUBLIC fundraiser has been launched for a Glasgow schoolgirl with dreams of studying at an American university.
As the Glasgow Times told on Tuesday, high flying Rachel Macrae would be the first pupil from Lochend Community High School to gain a place on a course in the US.
The 17-year-old school captain has ambitions of studying forensic science and even one day working for the FBI.

She has worked extremely hard to gain 10 Highers and one Advanced Highers - the highest number of awards for a pupil at the Easterhouse secondary.
But the course at the University of Tampa, Florida, costs more than £38,000 a year so, even with a scholarship, Rachel still has to raise £150,000.
