A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy South Side street.
Police have locked down a section of Barrhead Road, between Boydstone Road and Pollokshaws Roundabout, following the incident at around 5.40pm today.
The pedestrian, whose condition is unknown at this time, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 5.40pm on Monday, 14 December, police were called to a report of a serious road crash involving a pedestrian and a car in Barrhead Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
