A GLASGOW restaurant battled to serve customers yesterday despite a disastrous 12-hour power outage.
The Battlefield Rest's head chef, Marino, claimed he cooked by candlelight on a camp stove after the power went down at around 11am on Tuesday.
Marco Giannasi, the owner of the popular South Side Italian restaurant, said the situation was a "complete disaster".
He was especially worried as Scottish Power workers remain on the scene this morning and he is preparing for a large dinner order later today.

He added: "We have a large dinner order for a vets practice today.
"We were fully booked yesterday so we had to improvise.
"Marino was cooking by candlelight and making food on a camp cooker."
The eatery sits in a traffic island on Battlefield Road, which has been closed in both directions to allow emergency works to go ahead.
