THE body of a man was pulled from the River Clyde after a major emergency response.
A number of emergency service vehicles were parked outside the Glasgow Science Centre at Pacific Quay on the banks of the river early this afternoon.
The body was recovered from the water with the help of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Police say that enquiries into the tragic death are ongoing.
A spokeswoman for the national force said: "We can confirm that the body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde near Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
"The incident was reported to police around 1.05pm on Monday, 11 January. The body was recovered with the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
