Celtic youngster Cameron Harper is in advanced talks with New York Red Bulls over a pre-contract.
The Hoops kid made his first-team debut against Hibs last weekend in a 1-1 draw but is being chased by MLS outfit Red Bulls who are keen on bolstering their attacking options.
Harper, 19, has also been offered a new deal at Parkhead but Herald and Times Sport understands the player wants assurances that he will be in and around the squad and given the opportunity to break through, which may be out of reach at this moment.
It is also understood Red Bulls are close to signing the player on a pre-contract but there could be scope to do a deal with both parties that would allow the transfer to happen this month.
There are believed to be other options for Harper in his native USA if he opts to move on from Parkhead when his current deal runs out.
