THE music and dementia charity set up by former Glasgow Times Scotswoman of the Year Sally Magnusson is offering free online training for health and social care students after a successful trial with Glasgow Caledonian University.
Playlist for Life, set up by Sally after the death of her mother, has trained more than 6000 professionals since 2015.
Charity deputy chairperson Andy Lowndes said: “The pandemic has further cemented the incredibly important role of our health and social care workers, and the role of universities working tirelessly to keep learning going for the next generation of heroes. Those living with dementia have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, so we want to do everything we can to help make a difference through the power of music.”
