A MURDER suspect has denied shooting a young dad to death.
Jordan Owens allegedly killed Jamie Lee, 23, near to Ballantay Terrace in Glasgow's Castlemilk on July 8 2017.
Prosecutors claim the 26 year-old did "discharge a firearm" and that Jamie was struck on the body with a "projectile".
He is said to have been left so severely injured that he died the next day in Glasgow's Southern General hospital.
Owens faces two separate charges of attempting to murder Joseph Lee and Jordan Loughery at the same place by also shooting at them that day.
His QC Brian McConnachie pleaded not guilty to all the allegations during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Both the advocate and prosecutor Lindsey Dalziel said the case was ready for trial, which could last up to 10 days.
But, due to the pandemic, no trial was set.
Lady Stacey instead fixed another hearing for April.
