POLICE say they have received a "small number" of complaints about Boris Johnson's visit to Scotland.
Members of the public have contacted officers to claim the Prime Minister is breaking strict lockdown rules with his trip.
Mr Johnson has spent the morning in Glasgow, first visiting the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and later a vaccination hub in Castlemilk, as part of a move to "show the strength of the Union".
However, some have criticised the visit with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon saying yesterday she did not consider it an "essential" journey.
Ms Sturgeon said: “I would say me travelling from Edinburgh to Aberdeen to visit a vaccination centre right now is not essential, and Boris Johnson travelling from London to wherever he is in Scotland to do the same is not essential.
“If we’re asking other people to abide by that, then I’m sorry but it’s probably incumbent on us to do likewise.”
However, House of Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg today insisted the Prime Minister’s visit is “something we should be proud of as a nation”.
He said: “Well, I used to think that Moanalot was a fictional character, but it turns out it’s actually the First Minister of Scotland.
“All Ms Sturgeon can ever do is moan a lot. She moans when distinguished royal personages visit Scotland, she moans when the Prime Minister visits Scotland, people doing their duty, doing their job."

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We have received a small number of complaints regarding Prime Minister Boris Johnson's visit to Scotland.
"This is a working visit in his official capacity as Prime Minister and we are policing the event appropriately."
