I WILL be surprised if there are any restaurants or pubs left by the time the First Minister allows them to reopen.
Surely, there must be a way to let the hospitality industry reopen up slowly or proper compensation to ensure they don’t go out of business?
The amount of money spent by many businesses to be Covid compliant has been completely wasted by closing everyone down.
The city centre will just be packed with bookmakers, charity shops and small supermarkets if this continues.
It’s time to give these businesses some hope going forward if they are to have any sort of future.

I HAVE been unsuccessfully trying to access the Glasgow City Council app My Glasgow for ages without success.
When I request a new password, they send a link which I follow and still no success.
This happened at least three time and then I was locked out. What’s the point encouraging folk to use technology then put up so many barriers?
I was trying to make a complaint about bin men refusing to uplift a large corrugated cardboard box which I left alongside the blue bin. They simply ignored it.
I neither have the means or transport to take it to a dump so what am I expected to do, request a bulk uplift?
What a waste of resources. You couldn’t make it up.

I PHONED the roads and lighting faults (RALF) number to report potholes along a road.
I was shocked to find out their risk assessment approach.
If the repair isn’t deemed an emergency, it can take up to 60 days for a repair to be carried out.
I doubt very much the same criteria would be applied if it was George Square or John Street next to the City Chambers.

READERS had plenty to say on our Facebook page about the visit to Scotland by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Here’s a selection of comments...
WHY is he and everyone else with him in that hospital when so many people are dying?
This is not essential travel and us Scots don’t want or need him here.
Did he bring a miracle cure with him? If not he has no right or purpose in our hospitals.
Margaret Gibson
WELL you know what’s going to happen now – everyone is going to travel outwith their areas and head for the hills walking or go visit family and friends.
All because BoJo has travelled up here. Well done. A complete disregard for the rules.
Ian Tulloch
WHILE Boris is visiting the hospital, patients’ appointments have been cancelled for today – very good.
Margaret Daly
HE should not have travelled. If we travelled we would be
fined and severely reprimanded for it.
Michelle Cassidy
WHY has he travelled? It’s not essential.
Lynn Connor
I’M sure he could look at a testing kit back home without travelling from London spreading the virus, wasting taxpayers’ money and carrying out a PR stint for his precious Union.
How many people within hospitals and testing centres are being disrupted to facilitate this visit?
Karen Morrison
BORIS shouldn’t be in Scotland and certainly shouldn’t be going into hospitals.
Chris McLachlan
I THINK his actions will alienate the Scots – why bring, potentially, your germs or virus, we are struggling as it is. Go home! We can’t go to a different postcode!
Elaine Muir
CAN we have some more vaccines please Mr Boris?

A WEE tour down the hospital corridors with journalists why not, real Covid hero.
