Wheels to Heal is a charity which sources, recycles and supplies wheelchairs to those in need in countries such as Bangladesh, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Malawi, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.
The charity, which was launched five years ago, has so far saved 6,500 wheelchairs from landfill.
The winners during the ceremony received video messages from celebrity supporters such as British Citizen Awards patron Bradley Walsh, and have also been extended an invitation to visit the House of Lords when safe to do so.
