Roads in the city centre were transformed into slopes yesterday evening as sledgers fished out their best snow attire.
Heavy snowfall from Storm Darcy brought traffic in Glasgow to a standstill as thick icy blankets fell across the city.
Unusual sights were spotted in the urban area of the city centre as residents slid down the steep stretch of Douglas Street on snowboards.

Among those to delight in the snowfall was STV's own Ryan Maher.
Elsewhere in Glasgow, residents in Spingburn were captured cheering on a bus driver after he successfully managed to steer a double-decker bus up Edgefauld Road.
A yellow weather warning will remain in place until tomorrow, while Greater Glasgow Police Division has asked residents to take care on the roads today.
A statement reads: "In severe weather only drive if necessary. If you are driving ensure your brakes, tyres, lights, batteries & wiper blades are in good condition and keep screen wash topped up. Stay #WeatherAware #KeepingPeopleSafe"
