A thug robbed a Lanarkshire shop at knife-point in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The robbery took place at McColls in Bannatyne Street, Lanark at around 6.10am.
The man threatened a shop assistant with what is thought to be a kitchen knife.
He made off with a three-figure sum of cash and cigarettes.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Lawrence of Lanarkshire CID said: “A man described as approximately 6ft in height, wearing dark clothing entered the shop, demanded money and produced what is understood to be a kitchen knife at a staff member.
“The female shop assistant was shocked but unhurt during the incident."
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact 101 quoting reference number 0863 of Saturday, February 27.
