IMAGES have been released of a man after an attack in the city centre. 

Police were called to the scene on Virginia Street on Monday, August 17, 2020. 

The force have released CCTV footage of a man who they believe could assist them with their inquiries into the assault.

He is described as an Asian male, heavily built, approximately 30 years of age, spoke with a foreign accent with a bald head. At the time of the disturbance, he was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt and dark trousers.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland’s inquiries are ongoing regarding an assault which occurred between 8.25pm and 8.50pm on Monday, August 17, 2020, on Virginia Street in Glasgow.

"Any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who has information regarding this male, is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number AB03630820 or Incident 3608 of 17 August, 2020. 

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
