ONE class of pupils is isolating after Covid cases were linked to a Glasgow primary school. 

Test and Protect teams are currently working to identify close contacts of those to have tested positive at Castleton Primary School. 

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have advised those who were traced through close contacts to self-isolate.

A spokeswoman said: "Test and Protect is carrying out contact tracing of COVID-19 cases linked to Castleton Primary School in Glasgow.

"To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be released, however we can confirm that those identified so far as cases or contacts have been advised to self-isolate.

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to adhere rigorously to the general advice and requirements that are set out on NHS Inform and Scottish Government websites, including immediately self-isolating and seeking a test upon developing any symptoms."

A spokeswoman for Glasgow city council said: "One class at the school is self-isolating in line with current public health advice and guidance and all families contacted and kept informed that the correct procedures have been followed.”
