VIDEO footage of man being violently attacked with a blade in the street has emerged.
The Glasgow Times understands the video - shared widely on the social media app Whatsapp - features an assault which happened on Greenhill Road in Rutherglen on Tuesday night.
During that assault, a 30-year-old man was left with serious injuries caused by a weapon attack.

Now, this video has emerged of what is believed to be the same assault. It apparently shows a man armed with a blade taunting another man inside a block of flats.
He asks him to come down to the street to fight and can be heard shouting: "Castlemilk boys in your f**king area, you dafty.
"Come out by yourself f**king chicken.”

When the man comes out of the close in the block of flats, he engages with the knife thug before he appears to be struck several times with a blade.
The attacker then makes off in the direction of Mill Street and an ambulance can be seen arriving in the video.
Those filming the incident can be heard saying: "He's got a blade."
Graphic images claiming to be of the victim’s injuries also circulated the messaging service and show a deep puncture wound in the man’s torso which is covered in blood.
Earlier this week, police began their investigation into the serious assault and urged witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Jennifer Thirtle of Cambuslang Police Station said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have seen or heard a disturbance around 9pm on Tuesday evening to get in touch.
"In addition, we would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously or loitering in the area around Greenhill Road before the incident took place.
"Any information can be passed on by calling 101, quoting 3123 of 9 March, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
