BOOKIES have slashed the odds on Outlander star Sam Heughan becoming the next James Bond.
Actor Sam Heughan, 40, from Balmaclellan, Dumfries and Galloway, has spoken about hopes to be the next 007.
The star who is known for his role as Jamie Fraser in the hit historical drama series Outlander spoke about the prospect of playing the famous spy in an interview with Esquire.

Bookies responded by cutting his odds from 6/1 to just 5/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Sam Heughan is no stranger to the head of the Bond betting and his recent comments have seen us slash odds on him playing 007 next."
James Norton and Tom Hardy continue to head the betting at 2/1 apiece, with Rege-Jean Page also among the frontrunners at 5/1.
