LAWRENCE Chaney has made it to the finals of the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

The Glaswegian has won over viewers with his quick wit and charm throughout the season.

Ru Paul decided to save both Tayce and Ellie Diamond after they were in the bottom of the episode's challenge.

Lawrence will face Bimini Bon Boulash, Ellie Diamond and Tayce in next week's episode for the chance of being crowned UK's top drag queen.

Tonight's episode saw the queens show off their acting skills as they starred in a new soap opera BeastEnders.

The contestants were given a soap opera acting masterclass from Natalie Cassidy, who has played Sonia Fowler in EastEnders since 1993.

A letter from Lawrence’s mum revealed that he has embraced dressing up since he was four years old.

In the letter, his mum Phyllis added: “You have made it this far through determination, enthusiasm and sheer hard work.

“Remember the people who doubted your talent and said you would never succeed, well look at you know. I am so proud.”

Lawrence added after the touching message: “Genuinely something I would see as a success, if I am anything like my mum that is okay by me.”

Last week, Lawrence deleted his Twitter account @ShadyLawrence after facing vile abuse from online trolls.

The incident came after a disagreement between Lawrence and fellow Scot Ellie Diamond during a previous episode.

The Glasgow queen accused Ellie Diamond of trying to set her up by placing her behind her comedy rival Bimini in a stand-up challenge.

However, the duo patched things up during the latest episode: “Even when I’m annoyed at Ellie, I still respect her as a drag queen so I’m fine with drawing a line in the sand and just moving on after it.”

Lawrence Chaney reactivated his Twitter during episode nine and added: “I’m back.”
